Venue Spotlight: Community House Dana Point

The Community House is a charming event venue in my hometown Dana Point. It is a vintage one-story building located in the newly renovated Lantern District. With both indoor and outdoor event space, I think it makes for a beautiful wedding venue, and being close to the beach definitely doesn’t hurt!

All About the Community House:

Why do you love working at this venue?

We love designing and planning at Community House because it’s a blank canvas that we can customize for our clients. There is so much potential and design opportunity.

What is special about the Community House?

The location, and I love the fireplace. I also think part of what makes the Community House so great is that it’s owned by the Dana Point Women’s Club, and the proceeds from rentals go towards philanthropic programs.

What type of couple would you recommend this venue to?

I love this venue for couples who want to bring in their own vendors and catering. You can build your wedding with whichever vendors you would like, making it a great venue for couples who want a specific catering company.

What are your favorite photo locations for this venue?

I absolutely love how close this venue is to the beaches of Dana Point. The venue is in the Lantern District, which is a cute downtown and would make for great photo opportunities. As someone who grew up on the water, I’m partial to the Dana Point Harbor and the Dana Point Bluffs - both only about 5 minutes away.
